About Us

We're Claussen Painting & Blasting, and we've been a premier flooring and insulation contractor here in Monticello, IA, since 2012. We specialize in residential and commercial flooring and insulation projects. Whether you need to completely replace your floors or simply resurface them, we've got you covered. Our Story

Robert Claussen was a plumbing and heating specialist for 16 years before opening Claussen Painting & Blasting. Throughout his time in plumbing and heating, he did flooring jobs on the side for extra money until his wife encouraged him to start his own business. In 2012, Robert decided to do just that. Although it was a slow start getting the proper funds and clientele, Claussen Painting & Blasting eventually grew into a premier flooring contractor in Monticello and surrounding Iowa areas.

Every member of our team is inspired by their passion for their work and extensive experience in the industry. We continue improving our services by consistently learning from every job we complete, and our number one priority is making sure you are satisfied with the final result. We do so by keeping you updated on our progress and delivering industry-leading work each and every time.

Robert started Claussen Painting & Blasting to give quality professional services to the people of our community. Our friendly, easy to work with team has been providing seamless flooring and insulation work to residential and commercial properties in Monticello, IA, since 2012. Whether you need to completely replace your floors or simply resurface them, we've got you covered.

We are expanding our services beyond Monticello to Anamosa, Dyersville, Waterloo, and the surrounding areas. We specialize in spray foam insulation and applying epoxy coating to floors. Our store is available during weekends by appointment only and we offer free estimates to potential clients.
